When you get back home paint them to the wall (or the outside of your house for exterior work) and observe the different colors at different times of the day as the light varies. Pick a date that works for you. For exterior work, the biggest concern is your pets. Do they need access to the outside to go potty. If you have pets which need access to the outside then its best you pick a date that you can be home. This will allow you to take them out on a leash away from the wet paint, ladders and sprayers. If you painting the interior of your home its best that meet the painters at the beginning and end of the day but have a place to go during the middle of the day to stay clear. If you’re painting a small portion of your home this can simply be somewhere else in the home. Next, you need to take a hard look at your walls. Remove all decorations, curtain rods, nails, screws, and any other non-permanent miscellaneous items. Pull furniture away from the walls, and remove from the room entirely if possible. Furniture that is going to stay in the room, will be covered. The painters will bring drop cloths, but you can never be too careful. Once the walls are bare remove any obvious dust, cobwebs or other debris. Last, but not least, ensure that your pets will be out of the way of the painters on the day of service.
